CALVERT TREE FARMS

Calvert Tree Farms is a local family owned/operated business in Courtland, Ontario. The business started with Roy Massecar in 1951 where he planted and worked 20 acres of land by hand. At the time the only type of tree Roy planted was Scotch Pine.
In 1965 Roy's son in law Richard Calvert got involved with the family business helping Roy with the day to day work such as planting and pruning trees. 

Richard is now the owner of the business and currently works over 85 acres of land. As consumer demand has changed from over the years Calvert Tree Farms no longer grows Pine and now grows Fraser and Balsam Firs, Colorado Blue Spruce, White Spruce and White Cedar Trees.
For the past 16 years Richard's Grandchildren Jay and Maggy Calvert also help with the family business getting involved in growing, pruning, harvesting, sales and marketing.
